Harrier supports Deakin University to Think Differently about talent acquisition

In 2017 Harrier Talent Solutions was engaged to support the Deakin Think Differently Program, to design and implement a best practice in-house Talent Acquisition solution to become an essential pillar in the University’s One Deakin strategy.

Harrier’s project team approached every detail of the 12-month consulting assignment with Deakin’s need firmly in mind, employing customer-focused service design and a developing a robust framework for continuous improvement to ensure that the University’s new model continues to grow and evolve with changing business demand.

Harrier Client Director Susan Nichols said, “We’re really proud of what Deakin has achieved; we believe the University has set a new benchmark for talent acquisition in the higher education sector.  Harrier will continue to support Deakin with reporting and analytics, continuous improvement initiatives and coaching for talent leaders, so that the team can continue to mature, evolve and stay ahead of new technologies and innovations in talent.”

DeakinRecruit opens for service on Monday 19th November with a newly appointed talent acquisition team, sourced by Harrier.  The team has just completed an immersive 20-day induction program designed to help each person develop the knowledge and relationships they need for the best possible start to their career at Deakin.
