Kelly Quirk shortlisted for two Optus My Business Awards
Group Managing Director and CEO of Australian-based Harrier Human Capital, Kelly Quirk, has today been shortlisted for two Optus Business Awards; Business Leader of the Year and Businesswoman of the Year.
Ms Quirk is the only talent industry leader to make it as a finalist in these categories and the listing recognises Quirk’s contribution in transforming Harrier from a boutique Perth-based resourcing company into one of the regions fastest growing and most respected total talent businesses.
Under ms Quirk’s leadership, Harrier Human Capital has more than quadrupled revenue over the last four years and now services customers in diverse industries including mining, energy, government, education, healthcare and retail.
A passionate advocate for gender diversity, ms Quirk has driven Harrier’s own diversity agenda, as well as supporting a number of ASX businesses across Australia to attract, hire and develop women in industries typically under-represented by female talent.
Quirk said she is pleased to be shortlisted as a finalist across both categories.
“Harrier is my proudest achievement. The transition from executive leadership positions in Fortune 500 businesses to owning a business has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done,” she said.
“It’s a huge shift, both personally and professionally, and I’m thankful to have a wonderful team with whom to share my journey, as we continue to build a business that we all feel blessed to be part of and that has a significant and lasting impact on the talent sector in Australia.”
Adam Zuchetti, editor of My Business, said it is another big year for Australia’s longest-running SME awards program, with a record number of submissions this 2018.
“Small and medium-sized businesses are undeniably the backbone of our nation’s economy, as well as the heart of our local communities. It is wonderful to be able to recognise them on their achievements in service delivery, product innovation, workplace excellence and commitment to sustainability.”
